What to expect in a residential home inspection

When a client hires Homeland Inspections, we operate under InterNACHI Standards of Practice, you can expect a comprehensive, non-invasive visual evaluation of the property’s readily accessible major systems. We will thoroughly examine the home's core components to include the roof, exterior grading, foundation, structural framing, plumbing, electrical panels, HVAC systems, and insulation using normal operating controls. The resulting digital report will clearly identify any material defects or safety hazards that need immediate correction, providing a neutral, third-party "snapshot" of the home's condition.

However, clients should understand that a standard inspection is explicitly not technically exhaustive. The inspector will not engage in destructive testing (such as cutting into walls), move heavy furniture, or perform inherently dangerous tasks, nor will they evaluate cosmetic flaws or guarantee the future lifespan of appliances.
